A Covid-19 update from pastor gary
Dear Churchgoer,
I hope you had a wonderful and blessed New Year’s Day. Two days ago, I made the unfortunate discovery that I had been exposed to someone who was infected with COVID-19. As a result, I and the people who had come in contact with me were all tested. At the time, the staff who administered the tests told us that we could expect the results on Monday. Because of this, we chose to postpone our annual Watch Night service and decided to present our Sunday services via livestream only.
Well, I’m happy to say that not only did we get our test results back early but they were all negative. According to quarantine guidelines set forth by the Center for Disease Control and the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, anyone who is exposed to COVID-19 and tests negative for infection with no symptoms can stop quarantining after seven days. Since we’ve met these guidelines, the decision has been made to hold in-person services tomorrow for Sunday School at 9:45am, morning worship at 11:00am, and evening worship at 6:00pm. As always, social distancing, wearing of masks, and proper cleaning measures will be strictly enforced and adhered to. Additionally, the services will also be livestreamed allowing you to join us for church however you feel most comfortable.
I’d like to thank the incredible staff of Kanawha City Health Center for their hard work and quick results and, most importantly, for you prayers and support. See you tomorrow and have a great day!
Thank you,
Pastor Gary W. Hall
