Sunday Worship Services
These are the main services at Mt. Olivet and take place in the Sanctuary. They consist of worship through singing and prayer, an update of weekly events and announcements, an opportunity to worship through offering, and a powerful message from the Word of God brought by Pastor Gary.

Awana Clubs
Awana is the weekly children's and youth program at Mt. Olivet. Each Wednesday, the Family Life Center buzzes with activity; children playing games, singing songs, memorizing and reciting Bible verses, and receiving awards for their diligent work. The word AWANA is an acronym for the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15 – "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." The Awana schedule coincides with the Kanawha County School System schedule. If, for any reason, there is no school on any given Wednesday, there will also be no Awana meeting that week.

Small Groups
There are three small groups at Mt. Olivet. The Light Keepers is the women's small group and provides an opportunity for God's ladies to grow in Christ and build relationships with each other thorugh prayer for, mentoring, encouraging, and loving one another. The name for Light Keepers is based on Matthew 5:16, which says: "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Momentum is a men's small group that includes dinner, a time of fellowship, and a Bible study relevant to men with emphasis on the man's role in a godly home, in godly marriage, and in a godly church. The discipleship small group is open to anyone who desires to grow a deeper spiritual relationship with Christ and take their Christianity to the next level.

Music is very important to us at Mt. Olivet and is a part of every service. We sing hymns and gospel as well as praises and choruses. The Choir sings every Sunday in addition to other music ensembles and groups including the Men's Trio, Children's Choir, duets, and solos.
