The journey begins! Our first day started at 9:00 a. m. this morning. We boarded our plane in Charleston (yes I did get on), changed planes in Charlotte, and here we sit at 9:00 p. m. this evening just outside the El Al Airlines gate. We're scheduled to board our plane to Israel at around 10:46 p. m. with departure at around 11:30 p. m.; the flight will take about 11 hours. Israel is seven hours ahead of Charleston so that means we will land at about 5:00 p. m., Israel time; just in time to grab some dinner and get a good night's rest.
This day has been long but everyone is holding up well and spirits are high. We have 21 people in our party and although each of them come from a different background, we all share a desire to see the land where Jesus lived and walk where Jesus walked. As you read this with your morning coffee, we will still be in the air en route to Tel Aviv. I want to thank you for your prayers and ask that you continue to pray. Love you all. -Pastor Gary Comments are closed.
